A Race Like No Other

Marathon course from Loons Stadium in Midland ending at beautiful downtown riverfront Bay City. Starting at 7:30am. Half Marathon Run and Competitive Walk divisions starting at 10:00am from Delta College Campus.

From course elevation (very flat, very fast) wind direction (at your back) to the time of year ( in the 50’s) and the time of day (early/mid morning), we’ve thought of everything you’ll need to achieve your personal best. The Qualifier is a course designed by runners for ALL runners.

The Crim Fitness Foundation is putting 35 years of proven race management and expertise behind this event. With the Crim’s involvement, expect high standards and international draws as one of the nation’s new premiere races. All runners receive a participation medal and high-quality T-shirt. For those who achieve their “qualifying time”, a gold medal will be awarded by Bill Rodgers and Greg Meyer!

Discount pricing is available for anyone who has previously qualified or run a marathon (since January 2011) and has come within 10 minutes of his or her qualifying time.

The Qualifier has partnered with Virtual Race Bags to produce a 'virtual goodie bag' in an effort to ‘go green’ and provide additional benefits to our participants. As a participant of this year's event you will receive an email invitation to the Virtual Race Bag prior to the event giving you access to the bag. But wait, there’s more! Immediately after the event, the race bag updates to include race results. Now participants will receive another email invitation to visit their ‘results bag’ and also have a final opportunity to take advantage of the offers and goodies before the bag closes.

Keeping You Motivated and Hydrated

While on the course, we’ll provide you with everything you’ll need for success: wave starts to provide minimum congestion at the start lines; a flat, fast course; aid stations with the nutrition, water, GU and sports drinks you will need along the way! Check out the online training and nutritional tips. In addition, there will also be personal motivational messages from our elite consultants to keep you on track.
