Brief Description

Tri for Humanity will be benefiting the Smiles Charity for Operation Finally Home, an organization buliding houses for wounded soldiers.Please come out and show your support!

The Course

The swim is a 400 meter swim in Stonebridge Lake. Wetsuits will be permitted if the water temperature is less than 78 degrees. This will be determined by the head official on race day. The bike course is a two loop course around Stonebridge Ranch for 20K. The run is a 5Kloop around Stonebridge on the hike and bike trail.

Awards

Awards will be given to the overall male and female in the triathlon as well as age group awards and a Clydesdale and Athena category. We will also have awards for the relay division.

Packet Pickup

Packet pick-up will be at Extrem Swim (NE Corner of Park and Coit) in Plano on Thursday, April 26th 11-8pm; Richardson Bike Mart at 1451 W. Campbell on Friday, April 27th from 11AM until 7 PM; Packet Pick-up will also be at CK SPORTS at the NE corner of Hwy 121 and Custer in McKinney noon until 5PM on Saturday, April 28th. There is NO packet pick-up on race day. Failure to pick up your packet by this last time will result in your disqualification.

Parking

Parking will be available in the Adriatica shopping center.

USAT

All participants must have a current USAT card or purchase a one day pass for $12. The money will be collected at packet pickup.

Team Award

All team members will compete individually but we will also have a team award for the fastest overall team. This will be the combined score of at least the top five male/female from each group. If each team has more than 5 we will score deeper than 5. The fastest team will be given a gift basket from CK Sports for the group and a traveling “trophy” for the team to display all year. They will then bring the trophy back to Tri for Humanity next year to DEFEND it!

Additional Information

The local rock band Anchor Rose will also be playing at the race. They were also one of the bands featured in the Rockin Roll Half marathon. So stay for the party! We will have pizza and drinks for the awards ceremony.
