The Linn-Mar Growl Prowl 8K/5K Run/Walk, Youth Mile Run, and Kids' Fun Run provides an opportunity for everyone in the family to participate. The event is both for runners and walkers. The 2010 race will be chip timed.

ABOUT THE 8K & 5K RUN/WALK
The 3rd Growl Prowl event is on October 16, 2010. Participants are asked to park in the Linn-Mar High School parking lot and walk on the trail by Armstrong Field to get to the start of the race. The race will begin at the Indian Creek parking lot and finishes inside Armstrong Field on the Linn-Mar campus in Marion, Iowa. The course is an out and back, wheel-measured, flat and fast. This years event will be chip timed in the 8K and 5K.
Participants receive a t-shirt and refreshments following at Armstrong Field.

$22 online by October 14 or paper registration postmarked by October 11 ($19 for current Linn-Mar students)
$30 at Packet Pick-Up on October 15 and October 16 (ALL 8K & 5K participants)
AWARDS
Awards will be presented to the top male and female overall finishers. The will also be presented to the top two finishers in each age group for both the 8K & 5K: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over.
YOUTH MILE RUN
The Linn-Mar Growl Prowl Youth Mile Run for kids up to age 14 begins at 10:15 a.m. at Armstrong Field. All kids will receive finisher ribbons. Entry fees are $10 online or postmarked by October 11 or $12 at Packet Pick-Up on October 15 and 16. All participants will receive a t-shirt. Shirts and numbers can be picked up at the packet pick-up location.
KIDS' FUN RUN
The Linn-Mar Growl Prowl Kids' Fun Run for kids up to age 8 begins at 10:30 a.m. at Armstrong Field. All kids will receive a ribbon for finishing. Entry fees are $10 online or postmarked by October 11 or $12 at Packet Pick-Up by October 15 and October 16. All participants will receive a t-shirt. Shirts and numbers can be picked up at the packet pick-up location.
