High Sierra Triathlon Club hosts this race now running for over a decade! Fundraiser for the Mammoth High School Cross-Country Running Team.
The race's name is dedicated to the memory of Ned Schemenauer, High Sierra Triathlon Club member, Tom Schemenauer's brother. Ned died of Leukemia in 1947 at age of 6 when he was diagnosed with the blood disease - usually a death sentence, only 4% of children diagnosed with Leukemia survived. Today, 87% of children with Leukemia live! Tom has raised funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Societies Team in Training at the San Diego Rock & Roll marathon. Strenuous, yet super scenic trail run course. Mostly single track with views of Mammoth Mountain, the town of Mammoth, the Sherwins, the Whites, Mammoth Rock. Hosted by great folks - a fun, yet competitive event!
