Brief Description

Friends of Long Beach Animals’ Pet Appreciation Fair and 11th annual WALK for the Animals will be held this year at El Dorado Regional Park. The 2K and 5K walks will wind through acres of picturesque parkland over a dedicated concrete walking path. The route is suitable to all ages and abilities, and strollers and Fido, too! FRIENDS OF LONG BEACH ANIMALS thanks you for your generous support of this vital community relations cause to promote responsible pet ownership behavior.

Pet Appreciation Fair

Make it a family fun day. Whether you plan to walk or just hang out, everyone is welcome at no charge to the Pet Appreciation Fair. There will be plenty to do and see from 9:00 A.M.–3:00 P.M. with food and vendor booths; live music by Blue Steel; agility and Flyball performances by Muttley Crew; Disc Dogs; Moon Bouncers for the kids; Aquarium of the Pacific; animal exhibits; and more. Don’t forget to sign your dog up for one or more of the pet contests! Visit FOLBA.org for more information.

Park Admission

There is a Park Admission fee of $7.00 per vehicle. You can walk or bike in for no charge.

Pets

Well-behaved pets are welcome but must be leashed. Leashes cannot exceed six (6) feet in length.

Additional Information

Registration opens at 9:00 A.M. with the WALK starting at 10:00 A.M. Each $25 raised in pledges wins a raffle ticket. Anyone raising $500 or more in pledges will receive a duffle bag. Please help us reach our goal of raising $100 per walker. Prizes will be awarded to the top two (2) fundraisers in each of the following categories: Adult, Junior (under 18), Adult Team* and Junior Team*(if entered). Your registration includes a commemorative T-shirt, a swag bag and a raffle ticket. *teams limited to a maximum of 12 members.
