Brief Description

These will be fun courses on trails not run at any of the other Alafia trail runs. The 5M is a fairly straight forward trail run and that 10M is that plus another 5 miles of challenging fun.

Course

These will be fun courses on trails not run at any of the other Alafia trail runs. The 5M is a fairly staight forward trail run and that 10M is that plus another 5 miles of challenging fun. Half of the 10 Mile course is in a part of the park not open to the public so come on out for this once a year chance.

Directions

From I-75 to Exit 246 (Apollo Beach / Rt. 672) · Turn right on to Big Bend Road (heading east) · go 1.25 miles turn right (south) onto U.S. 301 (7-11 on corner) · 1.5 miles to Rt. 672 East (turn left) Follow 672 for 11.5 miles - 672 dead ends at first stop sign (Rt. 39) Turn left (north on Rt. 39) for 1 mile (follow race signs) until you reach Alafia River State Park entrance turn right & take first left (around the traffic circle) and follow signs to race start. There is a $4 fee per car.

Awards

Custom awards to all finishers of the 10 Mile Run and top finisher awards in the 5 Mile Run. Great T-shirts for both races (only pre-registerd guaranteed)! Custom artwork awards for Overall Male and Female and Masters Male and Female.

Volunteers

Bring a Volunteer / Run Free - As with all of our races, we need volunteers to make it all work. If you want to Run for Free, bring a Volunteer (they also get an award or a race t-shirt) to help for Registration and the rest of the race (5M or 10M). These spots have been filling up fast, so contact Jim@tamparaces.com, if you are interested.

Additional Information

There will finisher awards to all XTERRA 10 Mile finishers and top finisher awards in the 5 Mile Run. There will be quality t-shirts, post-race feast, music, give-a-ways and a lot of fun.
