Leadville National Fish Hatchery2846 Hwy 300 Leadville, CO
Located at the historic Leadville National Fish Hatchery, the Fish Hatchery 5K features a scenic cross country style course that winds through subalpine forest near and around the Evergreen Lakes and lower Rock Creek area. The route consists of dirt road, path and trail.
Pre-register at Melanzana (716 Harrison Avenue, Leadville). Race Day registration at the Hatchery.
$10. Individuals 18 and under participate for FREE.
7:30 - 8:30 am in front of main hatchery building.
Medals will be given to the top male and female finishers in each of the following age groups: 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+ Overall male and female runners will be presented a trophy. Stick around for the post-race raffle.

The Leadville-Lake County Sports Hall of Fame, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Operated by the US Fish & Wildlife Service, the Leadville National Fish Hatchery was established in 1889 and is the second oldest Federal hatchery in operation.
Follow Hwy 24 south of Leadville for 4 miles. Turn right (west) on Hwy 300. Hwy 300 takes you directly to the Hatchery (two miles).
Don't miss the Turquoise Lake Half Marathon on Sunday June 5, 2010. The Turquoise Lake Half Marathon offers unparalleled mountain views as you run clockwise around scenic Turquoise Lake. The first 7.5 miles of the course consists of hilly paved road. The final 5.5 miles consist of single track dirt trail. Individuals pre-registered for the TQ Half can participate in the Fish Hatchery 5K for FREE.
