Brief Description

Come to Lawrence Saturday morning for a celebration for the whole family! 5 K RUN starts and finishes at South Park. It is a flat run through the heart of beautiful Downtown Lawrence. South Park has traditionally been a place for people to relax and play. Enjoy the WALK near the Butterfly Garden, see the Roosevelt fountain, and flower gardens! Medals for top M/F finishers in every 5 year age group! PRIZES FOR: MASTER’s (age-graded), Overall Winners Fundraising TEAM AWARDS!

WARNING! PROCESSING FEES ADDED

WALK: Children 0-12 years old register without fees.

5K: Children 0-6 years old register without fees.

Please note that there are FEES ADDED to each registration for the 5K Run/Walk according to the cost of registration to pay Active.com for use of the software.

For example: KSTBDA is asking $25 for individual 5K Run participant. Active.com will add $3.27 for processing. The Walk is $10, but the ADDED FEE is $1.93.

FUNDRAISING FEES

Fundraising FEES: EVERY donation, no matter what the amount will cost $1.00 + 6.75% that is sent to Active.com for processing costs.

If you are not part of a fundraising team and would like to donate through a secure PAYPAL site at the cost of 2.9% +.30 cents, then go to www.kstbda.com and click "donate." Thank you for your support!

CHILDREN

If you register your children for the WALK, there is NO registration or processing fees. Registration is free.

We do recommend that you register your children to help us know how many people are coming and to plan for activities.

If you would like your child to receive a T-shirt, you will have a chance to order during the EARLY registration process, deadline April 25th

ONLINE REGISTRATIONS EARLY & LATE

Early online registrations end on April 25th.

Late online registrations end Thursday, May 9th at 9:59 PM.

5 K Run T-SHIRT DEADLINE April 25, 2013 at 10 pm

Early 5K Run registrants receive a free Wickify technical t-shirt (form fitting), that is white with lime green sides. The logo is on the shirt.

Ages 6 and under are free without a t-shirt with a responsible adult.

Early Registration WALK T-Shirt Deadline April 25

Early WALK registrants- ages 13 and up receive one lime green 100% cotton t-shirt with logo.

EXTRA T-SHIRTS-order when registering. Deadline

Extra t-shirts (Wicify technical or 100% cotton with logo) can be ordered online when you register.

The cost of extra t-shirts is $10 for Youth Small, Medium, Large

$15 for Women & Men's Small, Med, Large

$20 for Women and Men's XXL, XXXL.

You must order when you register online. Deadline for ordering is April 25th at 10 pm.

LATE REGISTRATIONS-No T-shirt

You may pick up rack-cards for mail-in registration, go to packet pick up at Sunflower Outdoor Sports at 804 Massachusetts Street Lawrence, KS 66044 (4-8 pm) (785) 843-5000, or register onsite the day of the race.

Onsite or Race Day registrations are open at 7 am for 5 K RUN and 9 am for WALK.

Parking

Parking is available on the east side of the park near the Lawrence Police station.

Restrooms

Public restrooms are available across the street at West South Park. Port-a-potties are near the parking lot on the east side of South Park.

Benches

Benches are available to rest during the Lyme Walk.

Wheel chairs, Sidewalks

The Lyme Walk can be adjusted so participants in wheel chairs can stay on the sidewalk within the park for more convenient and mobility. Questions, please call 785-248-3504.

Rest Station

We plan to have a rest station staffed with volunteers (non-medical) where you can lie down rest.

Hospital and Police

Lawrence Memorial Hospital is conveniently located at 325 Maine Street Lawrence, KS 66044. Police station is located on the northeast corner of South Park.

Vendors

Tables are available for free if you bring items to give or provide a service without charge to people who attend the event.

Tables are $20.00 if you do not give away items.

Sponsors

Sponsors who donate $25 - $100 small sign at South Park on Race Day.

Sponsors who donate $100 or more--web page advertisement on our race website and sign

Sponsors who donate $200 or more may have your business logo printed on the t-shirt, and an advertisement on website, and sign on race day).

All sponsors must send a j-peg image to www.kstbda.com and call Peninah at 785 248 3504. Must be sent in by April 20th!

Refund Policy

We are not able to refund registration fees if the participant is unable to attend or if the race director has to cancel the run/walk due to weather.

Weather

The 5K Run/Walk will not be cancelled for rain unless there is lighting or severe thunderstorm warnings, or the heat index is too high.
