Brief Description

The Capitol Mile/5K is a fun and healthy event for the entire family. This year’s mile event will begin with four heats (40 and up for women, 40 and up for men, women’s open, men’s open) with large cash prizes and awards. The mile event is also a great beginner's race. If you are just getting into running and not quite ready for a 5K, then come and join us for the mile! The mile events will be following by the Kids Mile and Kids Dash, and the ninth annual 5K run and walk.

Additional Information

The mile event is part of the Playmakers Race Series. You get two races for the price of one! If you are interested in participating in the mile and 5K, the registration costs the same for both events. This event has generated more than $500,000 for local nonprofits since 2004. Our commitment to the local community will continue in 2012 to assist more nonprofit organizations.
