Brief Description

Race the Lakes is a spectacular course around beautiful Lake Mirror, Lake Morton, and Lake Hollingsworth and through the streets of downtown Lakeland. This event offers a 5k and 10k course or... challenge yourself and run both consecutively in the 15k challenge. Runners who plan to do both races should register as a15K Challenge participant. The 10k will start at 7:00 am while the 5k starts at 8:30 am.

Directions

Directions: Going east on I-4 (from Tampa): merge onto W. Memorial Blvd via exit 28, R turn on N. Florida, L turn on US 98S, R turn on E. Main Street, L turn on S. Lake Avenue Going west on I-4 (from Orlando): merge onto 98S via exit 32, L turn to stay on 98S, R turn on E. Main Street, L turn on S. Lake Avenue

Packet Pick Up

Packets can be picked up at THE LAKELAND CENTER, RRCA Convention April 21st - 23rd 9am - 6pm. Race day pick up will be at the Lake Mirror Center beginning at 5:30am. THERE IS NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION.

Schedule of Events

10K start @7:00am; 5K start @ 8:30am; Kid's Race start @ 9:15am; Awards Presentation @ Approximately 10:00am

Special Note

There is no 15K Race. Runners who register for the 15K Chllenge must successfully complete BOTH the 10K and 5K activities to receive the special award. Age group and overall awards apply only to the 10K and 5k races. IF YOU ARE UNLIKELY TO COMPLETE THE 10K IN 80 MINUTES OR LESS, DO NOT REGISTER FOR THE 15K CHALLENGE! Finish times/age group awards in the 10K & 5K races do NOT apply to the 15K Challenge commemorative award.

Race Categories- 10K & 5K: 10-Under,11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-79, 80+ Awards are top Overall male and female. and overall Masters male and female, overall Grand Masters male and female, 3 deep in age groups for both 5k and 10k. All persons who successfully complete both the 10K & 5K will receive a commemorative award.
