Beautiful Lake Junaluska is the setting for the 2010 Bunny Run on Saturday, April 3rd. Held as part of the Lake Junaluska Conference & Retreat Center’s Easter celebration, the Bunny Run features a 5K, 10K and Kids Fun Run.
The Lake Junaluska Bunny Run will use chip timing. Chips will be distributed at Packet Pickup/Late Registration on race morning. There will be a $30 charge for any unreturned chips. Results will be posted on this web site by Monday, April 5.
The first 200 registered runners will receive technical short-sleeve running shirts. All sizes are unisex.
Groups of five or more runners may receive the group entry fee of $15 per person. All the entries must be placed, with payment, in the same envelope and sent prior to race day. There will be no group discounts for online or race day registrations. Go to www.lakejunaluska.com/easter to download the entry form.
Lake Junaluska is offering a special rate for runners of $62 per night at both the Terrace Hotel and Lambuth Inn. Both locations overlook the lake and race course. Please call 800-222-4930 to reserve your rooms.
From I-40 - Take exit 27 onto US 19-23. Drive 3/4 of a mile. Take exit 103 and drive approximately 1 mile. Turn right at Lake Junaluska entrance located directly across from Camp Adventure Campground. Stay on this road as it turns to the right. Stuart Auditorium is across the street from the Terrace Hotel. Parking is available along North Lakeshore Drive and in the chapel parking lot past Stuart Auditorium.
The 5K and 10K will take place on the roads and paths encircling the lake. The 10K is a two-loop course that will follow the same course as the 5K then reverse itself giving runners a completely different perspective on the second loop.
