EVENT DESCRIPTION

At noon, Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, support the One Step At A Time Camp for children with cancer by joining us for a 5K run/walk and kids fun run on the grounds of the world-class Grand Geneva Resort & Spa. This year will also include a post-race event and awards ceremony.

REGISTRATION FEE

All proceeds from the OneStep 5K and Fun Run will benefit the One Step At A Time Camp. One Step At A Time Camp is a program of Children’s Oncology Services, Inc. Bring the whole family and support a wonderful local organization. Registration fee includes access to post-race event, drink ticket (for runners 21 and over) and food. All participants will receive a cold-weather running/activity hat and a 20% discount for services at the Well Spa.

POST RACE EVENT

This year we've added a post-race event to celebrate your run and your support for the camp. The registration fee will include access to the festivities, a drink ticket (for runners 21 years of age and older) and food at the event. Have friends or family that would like to come out to support you? Bring them along!! Entry to the event will be available for purchase for non-runners.

SPEND THE NIGHT!!

Keep celebrating after the post-race festivities! The Grand Geneva Resort a Spa is providing a discounted room rate of $99 for Friday night* for those runners who would like to extend their run for a great cause into a mini-getaway (*while rooms last). Details will be provided to all registrants. Run in support of the One Step Camp and take advantage of this great opportunity to stay at a world class resport for the discounted rate.

5K RUN/WALK

The 5K event will be run through the scenic grounds of the Grand Geneva Resort and neighboring areas. The 5K will start immediately after the conclusion of the kids' fun run.

KIDS FUN RUN

The approximately 1-mile fun run for younger runners (ten and under) will get started at noon. Parents can cheer their kids on before heading out for the 5K. Kids can warm up inside right after they run with hot chocolate at the post-race event.

EARLY PACKET PICK-UP

Participants will be notified when race packets are available for pick-up at the WELL Spa and Fitness Center located at the Grand Geneva Resort and Spa.

RACE DAY PACKET PICK-UP

Packets will be available for pick-up at the race starting area between 11:00 and 11:30 on the morning of the event.

PARKING

Parking will be available at the race starting area.

AWARDS

While this is a fun run/walk, we will have awards for the top 3 finishers in each of the following categories: male, female, boy and girl. For those participants who elect to raise money for the One Step At A Time Camp, we will also have an award for the top fund raiser.

REFUNDS

All payments of registration fees are final, and there will be no refunds.
