Brief Description

Expedition Everest Challenge, a race adventure with some bite, is coming Saturday, May 5, 2012 to Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park. Just after sunset, brave the mysteries of a thrilling 5K trek with obstacle courses and a scavenger hunt. Celebrate conquering this Everest with an exclusive after-hours party at Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park. If you have what it takes to conquer this challenge join the trek!

    • Eligibility

    To compete in Expedition Everest Challenge you must be 9 years of age or older.

    Pacing Requirement

    There will be a 16 minute per mile pacing requirement for the 5K adventure run portion of the race.

    Anyone not able to maintain the respective paces may be picked up and transported to the finish. You may be picked up at any point along the course for not maintaining pace.

    Packet Pickup

    All runners must attend Packet Pick-Up and sign a waiver in order to receive your race packet, shirt, goody bag, timing device and party ticket.

    Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. No exceptions will be made.

    Safety Reminder

    For the safety of all participants, baby joggers, strollers, baby carriers, baby backpacks, inline skates, motorized scooters, bicycles, skateboards, canes, crutches, walking sticks, walkers, and animals of any kind are prohibited from the course. If you are seen in violation of one of these you will be removed from the course and transported to the finish line area.
    Headphones are discouraged due to audio messages that are placed throughout the course to ensure your safety.

    2012 Expedition Everest Challenge Pin can be purchased during registration.

    $13.86 per pin (price includes tax), Limit 2 pins per registration.

    *Pins will ONLY be distributed at Packet Pick-Up. Pins not picked up at Packet Pick-Up will not be mailed and will not be refunded. Quantities are limited.

    Additional Post-Race Party Tickets can be purchased during registration.

    Party Ticket Information

    *A Post-Race Party Ticket gives you access to an exclusive after-hours party at Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park. Party ticket includes access to Kali River Rapids® Attraction, DINOSAUR, Dinoland U.S.A.® Area, and Expedition Everest™ Attraction.

    Minimum height requirements are required to experience the attractions. Tickets are Non-transferable and Non-refundable.

    1-Day Theme Park Ticket with Registration*

    *Theme Park Ticket entitles you to one day of admission to Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom® Park or Epcot®. Some activities/events may be separately priced. Ticket types and entitlements are subject to change without notice. Tickets are non–transferable and non–refundable. Parking is not included.

    1-Day Theme Park Ticket Pick-Up*

    Tickets must be picked up at Packet Pick–Up. Tickets not picked up will not be refunded or mailed. Theme park tickets must be purchased in advance with registration and are valid until May 12, 2012
