Join over 1800 trotters who incorporate fun and fitness into their holiday season. This unique road race is open to all skill and interest levels. We award the fastest runners and those who most accurately "predict" their finish time without going over.
Turkey Trot is truly a family affair. Children can participate in our fun Jr. Gobbler Gallop events following the main race.
Jr. Gobbler Gallop: The Junior Gobbler is a race course held for youth participants. This race is un-timed, and all participants will receive a race number. Courses are divided into a 1 mile, a 1/2 mile and a dash race, so all ages are welcome to participate. The Junior Gobbler races will begin at 10:15am. Although the courses are designed to be a mile long, the Junior Gobbler is for any participant wanting to have fun! Volunteers will be readily available to run with the children if they need assistance or direction. Adults are also allowed on the course to help their young ones along if needed.
T-Shirts: Long Sleeve Turkey Trot T-Shirts are available for purchase for $13 each.
Teams: The Turkey Trot has an annual competition throughout the community to see who can organize the largest team for the 5K race. There are no limitations to a team. Teams in the past have ranged from local businesses and corporations to youth running clubs, so everyone is welcome! If doing a team, you will be asked to state your team name during the registration process.
As one of the largest 5K races in the La Crosse area, the Turkey Trot is a popular Thanksgiving tradition. This isn't your typical 5k run and walk! There will be bands, circus arts performers and other entertaining activities.
