Description

The 8K course is a semi-loop, fast, smooth, mostly flat asphalt course through commercial and residential areas of Kinston. The course is USATF certified. The 1 Mile Fun Run will begin and end within the Neuseway Nature Center. Entry fees are $25.00 (for either or both races) through March 30th and $30.00 on Saturday, March 31st, the day of the race. Race day registration /packet can be picked up from 7:00am to 8:30am at the Neuseway Nature center. In the 8k, $500.00 each will go to fastest runners in the male and female divisions, plus an especially designed and produced commemorative bowl made by Lenox China, one of Kinston's best known manufacturers. Second place winners will carry home $300.00 in cash; and third place winners will take $150.00. Each finisher in the 1 Mile Fun Run will receive an award.
