Fees

$25 for 5 mile, $20 for I mile ($30 and $25 on race day). Kids 6 and under free (no t-shirt).

Brief Description

Run for TC! is a five mile trail race and 1 mile fun run on mostly single track (some gravel road and paved trail). The location, Bays Mountain Park and Planetarium, is a 3500 acre nature preserve. The terrain can be steep but the race itself is mostly rolling hills. Awards will be given for the first overall in women's and men's, plus 1,2,3 for each age group.

Registration

Race day registration is also available + preregistration at Fleet Feet Sports in Kingsport, TN until Friday March 26, 2010 at 5pm. For race day registration please arrive at least one hour prior to event.

T-shirts

Race day t-shirts are only guaranteed to those pre-registered by March 20, 2010. T-shirts will be available for order for an additional $10 on race day and can be picked up at Fleet Feet Sports 2 weeks post event. Checks for preregistration, race day registration and t-shirts should be made out to: Run for Tom Coughenour.

For Kids!!

Thanks to Earth Fare of Johnson City and to some local teachers and students who have volunteered their time, we will have activities and snacks for kids from noon to 2 (rain or shine). So, come on out with your kids for the 1 mile fun run/walk at 11:30am and stick around for the fun!

Additional Information

A little history about the race. This is a new race, created in honor of Tom Coughenour, who lost his battle with cancer in late 2008. Coach Coughenour was a cross country and track coach in Kingsport for 30 years. All proceeds of the race will go to the TC Memorial Fund to ensure that the enthusiasm for running Coach Coughenour instilled in so many of us will be nurtured in young local runners as well.
