Race Start Time
7:45 am NOTE: Both races will start at the same time from the Lighthouse Cafe in Bill Baggs State Park.
Parking (entrance closes at 7:15am)
The entrance to Bill Baggs State Park will be open at 6:15am and CLOSED at 7:15am. Please plan to be at the event before 7:15am to insure entrance to the park. Park entrance fee is waived for this event and you are invited to enjoy the park for the remainder of the day.
Race Day Registration
There will be NO race day registration.
Satelite Registration
Runners may register at the following locations starting 08/15/09:
1) Runner's High - 11209 South Dixie Hwy (Pinecrest)
2) Island Athletics - 79 Harbor Dr (Key Biscayne)
NOTE: Race numbers and T-shirts will NOT be distributed at our satellite locations. They will be available race day or at Island Athletics the week prior to the event.
Packet Pick-Up
Race Packets may be picked up at Island Athletics (79 Harbor Drive, KB) the week before the race (11/07/09- 11/13/09 OR at the race site starting at 6:30 the morning of the race. Please allow 48 hours for early packet pickup if you register online the week before the race.
Age Groups
5K Run - 8 and under, 9-11, 12-14, 5-year age groups from 15-69, 70 and over.
10K Run - 14 and under, 5-year age groups from 15-69, 70 and over.
Race Day Award Ceremony
Due to the economy, there will be NO cash awards. Gift certificates will be awarded to the top male/female open/Key Biscayne finishers for both events. These winners will be excluded from their age group for additional awards. The top 3 open and top KB finisher in each age group will receive an award.
Directions
Take I-95 South or US1 North to the toll booth entrance ($1.50 fee) of the Rickenbacker Causeway. Drive 7 miles to the lighthouse in Bill Baggs State Park. You are there! (Park entrance fee is waived for this event and you are invited to enjoy the park for the remainder of the day.) REMEMBER - PARK ENTRANCE CLOSES AT 7:15AM.
Where the profit goes
All net profits are donated to various organizations and charities. Previous recipients include: Eileen McCaughan Scholarship Fund, Michael Scholtz Memorial Charitable Fund, KB Community School, Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts, KB Life Enhancement Forum, Mast Academy ABC, Friends of the KB Library, Shake-a-Leg Foundation, Biscayne Nature Center, Good Speed Foundation, Bill Baggs Cape Florida Park Restoration.

Walking Rules
The 10K is NOT a walk. Runners must complete the race within 1:20 minutes or be disqualified.
Walkers may walk the 5K but will not be judged. No special awards will be given for walkers.
