Brief Description

If there's one thing that's sure to keep people running, it's fear -- not endurance. And let's face it: Most of our fears point -- with a bony, skeletal finger -- toward death. That's why area runners might want to sign up for the Graveyard 5K Run and Family Walk, which takes participants on a marked course through the grounds of historic Elmwood Cemetery. The route within the 43-acre cemeterywill take runners by elegant monuments of famous, infamous and influential residents of Kansas City.

Registration and Parking

Event Registration at Saint Paul School of Theology, 5123 Truman Road(across the street from cemetery). The school has ample parking. Registration will be in Holter Hall, first building on left when you enter the school grounds.

Additional Information

It's Halloween morning so kick the spirit of the day off by running in costume. Costume contest! Prizes for best costume and best times. Men's, women's and team divisions and age groups. Intermediate rating for course difficulty. This is a fundraiser for the cemetery, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
