5K Race Description

Westfield Louis Joliet is hosting a certified, chip timed 5K race on Saturday, August 14th, at 8:00am starting and finishing at Westfield Louis Joliet. Walkers are welcome. The 5K Race supports United Way of Will County.

Kids Backpack Boogie Fun Run

Don’t let the little ones miss out on the summer fun. All children 12 and under are invited to participate in the Backpack Boogie ½ Mile Fun Run. Free with a donation of school supplies or there is a $5 fee without donation.

The Course

The 5K is certified and will take a loop through the community and around Westfield Louis Joliet to finish in front the Cinemark Theater.

Registration Fee

$20 (pre-registration /online registration closes August 11th); $30 (after August 11th and race day). *non-refundable. Backpack Boogie ½ Mile Fun Run is free with a donation of School Supplies or there is a $5 fee without donation.

Entry Fee Includes

Technical T-shirt, refreshments and an exclusive gift bag featuring discounts for fall shopping and other goodies.

Early Packet Pick-up

Packets will be available for advanced pick-up on Wednesday, August 11th and Thursday, August 12th from 10:00am to 5:00pm in the Westfield Louis Joliet Management office located near Carson Pirie Scott.

Results

5K results will be available at www.active.com and at Westfield Louis Joliet.

Awards

Prizes will be awarded to the overall male and female winners as well as the top three male and female finishers in each of the following groups: 10 and under 11-19 20-29 30-39 40-49 50-59 60 +

Location

Westfield Louis Joliet is conveniently located on Route 30, just southeast of Interstate 55 in Joliet, Illinois. The race will start at Entrance 2 near the Cinemark Theater. Please park in the lot west of Macy’s.

Working Wonders

A portion of the proceeds will benefit United Way of Will County- Advancing the Common Good. School supplies donated for the Fun Run will be donated to the Boys & Girls Club.
