Additional Information
Hand cyclists and wheelchair participants will start at 7:55 a.m. 10k racers will start at 8 a.m. and 5k racers will start at 8:05 a.m. This is a flat and quick course. There will be one water stop with a port-a-john at the water stop. Top three overall finishers, both male and female, will be awarded plaques.
Bag Storage on Race Day:
There will be a manned tent near the finish line which will be on the track around the football field for bags and clothing that you do not want to run with on race day. Leave dry clothes etc for after the race in case of rain. No valuables please.
The first 300 pre-registered racers will receive a t-shirt and there will be water, bananas, and gatorade for all racers at the finish line.
Strollers, Bicycles, Racing Chairs:
We welcome stroller runners and racing chairs in our race. However, as a courtesy to other runners, we ask that stroller runners start at the back of the pack. The course will be run on streets through the neighborhood of Northwoods which will be protected by traffic cones. Bicycles however, are not allowed on the course due to safety concerns
Race Packet Pickup Location:
Race packet pickup will either be at Jacksonville High School or Swansboro High School in the gymnasium from 12:30 and 6:30 pm on Friday, 30 March. Please indicate where you will be picking up your packet on the registration form.
