This event series bears a strong environmental focus and encourages every one of its patrons to carry out the event's eco-friendly theme and "leave a small footprint" by utilizing public transportation, riding a bike, or carpooling to the race.
Each runner will receive a limited edition event t-shirt, swag bag, plaque, and complimentary food and beverage at the race party immediately following the run, as well as VIP passes for The Wailers 20th Anniversary Show at the 2012 Florida Surfing Championships Seawalk Celebration. Trophies will also be awarded to the top finisher in each division.
Wanting to add that little extra something unique, we will also be hosting a drawing open only to race entrants and will be giving away several awesome prizes from our sponsors, Maui Jim, Zeal, Goal Zero, House of Marley, Garmin and more!
Additionally, we encourage each runner or participating family to make a donation to our race partner, The 26.2 with Donna Foundation, Inc., a foundation dedicated to providing financial assistance to local women battling breast cancer. Those that donate will also be entered in a drawing through their organization to win a prize from one of their strategic partners!
The beach run will take place on the compacted sand along Jacksonville Beach's Oceanfront.
