Brief Description

Official Road Mile Championships race for USA Track & Field, Southern California Association. General public and USATF members welcome! Run your best mile at the El Toro Airfield, a straight, flat, fast USATF certified and sanctioned 1 mile course. Events include 1 mile road race and 1 mile race walk competitions. Participants include USA National and Olympic team members!

Fees

Until August 23: Youth $20, USATF $20, General Public $30. August 23 - 27: Youth $25, USATF $25, General Public $35. Race Day: Youth $30, USATF $30, General Public $40.

7:00 to 7:25 Race Walking

7:00 am – Race Walkers – Youth (18 and under), Masters (40-54), Seniors (55-70+)
7:15 am – Race Walkers – Elite: Olympian and National Team Members, Adult (19-39)

7:25 to 7:55 Youth

7:25 am - 7-8 years old, (Sub Bantam, birth years 2002-2003)
7:35 am - 9-10 years old, (Bantam, birth years 2000-2001)
7:40 am - 11-12 years old, (Midget, birth years 1998-1999)
7:45 am - 13-14 years old, (Youth, birth years 1996-1997)
7:50 am - 15-16 years old, (Intermediate, birth years 1994-1995)
7:55 am - 17-18 years old, (Young, birth years 1992-1993)

8:00 to 9:15 Adult - Masters - Elite

8:00 am - Women (19-39)
8:10 am - Men (19-39)
8:20 am - Masters Women (40+)
8:30 am - Masters Men (40+)
8:40 am - Elite USATF Women (Open and Masters,sub 6:00 finishing time)
8:50 am - Elite USATF Men Masters (sub 5:30 finishing time)
9:00 am - Elite USATF Men (sub 5:00 finishing time)
9:15 am - Fun Run

Prize Money

Directions to El Toro Airfield/Race Start

From the 5/405 North:
1. Exit Sand Canyon Ave and turn Right
2. Turn Left on Marine Way
3. Turn Right after the Guard Shack
4. Follow the road signs to Parking


From the 5/405 South:
1. Exit Sand Canyon Ave and turn Left
2. Turn Right on Marine Way
3. Turn Right after the Guard Shack
4. Follow the road signs to Parking

Participants are advised to arrive 1 HOUR before their event starts.
