Iowa football coach Kirk Ferentz will be the official starter for the 5k Walk/Run and 10k Walk/Run this year. Participants in wheelchairs and with strollers are welcome. The course is the same as last year using the very scenic UI Cross Country race track; therefore it is not continuous hard surface. They do not limit who can participate only that for the safety of the runners, they ask that participants line up towards the back of the starting line. The race will be chip timed. There is no registration fee for the Children's Race, however if you would like a t-shirt for your child, the cost is $15.00. Race t-shirts are not required for children to run.
