Brief Description

Each child in the Texas court system needs an advocate. The expense totals around $1,000 for each child served during the year. CASA of Walker & San Jacinto Counties is currently serving more than 120 abused and neglected children each year. Your entry fee will cover the costs involved in helping these children. Bring out the whole family to benefit the CASA kids in your area!

Race Day Schedule is as follows: • 7:15 am Check-In & Late Registration • 8:15 am Start for 5K @ SHSU Bowers' Stadium • 8:25 am Fun Run Start • Program & Awards Ceremony to follow Fun Run Thank you so much for your interest in helping CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Walker & San Jacinto Counties. The starting line is at the corner of Bowers Blvd. & Montgomery Road. The 5K run is equivalent to 3.1 miles. The Fun Run is 1 mile. Check-In and late registration begins at 7:15 a.m All participants must register to participate in race activities. Water Stations will be available at various points along the course. Race numbers will be assigned and times will be recorded. Award categories for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each age bracket and overall male/female 1st place. 14 and under, 15 -19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-over One T-shirt is included with each registration fee, additional shirts are $10.00 each. For late registration, T-shirts will be available on a first come first serve basis. Babies/children in strollers or wagons and dogs on leashes are welcome to join their families during the 1 mile Fun Run. Registration will close before the event. Please call for late registration.
