Brief Description

This run is for the serious runner and a fun family run or walk if you prefer. The 5K run is timed by Play Hard Timing and is entirely within the park. The event begins and ends at the Nature Center and follows the Nature Center Trail to the Lagoon Trail. The Lagoon Trail is shady and you can enjoy the ocean breeze coming in over the Lagoon. The course turns at a crossover trail and returns on the wide straight Maritime Forest Trail and then back to the Nature Center

Directions

Take HWY 21 past entrance to Hunting Island State Park and turn left to Nature Center just before Fripp Island Bridge. 5K is entirely in the park on wide smooth shady trails.

Additional Information

Serious runners may be able to experience a personal best time and others can enjoy a fun run with the whole family. Volunteers will be stationed at each turn. Strollers are permitted but sorry, no pets.
