Charlotte Rescue Mission
The purpose of Charlotte Rescue Mission is to minister the Good News of Christianity to individuals caught in cycles of poverty, hopelessness and chemical addictions by meeting their spiritual, physical, social, psychological and vocational needs. Charlotte Rescue Mission provides a Christian recovery program for men and women who are addicted to drugs and/or alcohol and are predominantly homeless. They house more than 500 individuals and serve over 200,000 meals per year.
Hope House Foundation
The Hope House was formed to provide transitional housing, support and life skills training for displaced individuals who are in need. The Foundation was established in the Lake Norman area because there is little if no support for displaced women and children in this area.
Loaves and Fishes
Huntersville Emergency Food Pantry (located at Huntersville United Methodist Church). Loaves & Fishes is a nonprofit emergency food pantry program which provides a week's worth of groceries to people in crisis in Charlotte Mecklenburg.
Angels & Sparrows Soup Kitchen
The purpose of this mission is to help fight hunger in Huntersville and the surrounding communities and to work toward the physical nourishment, the spiritual foundation and the emotional and social rehabilitation of all who come in contact with the mission. Angels and Sparrows provides lunch every day of the year (Mon-Fri) for those in need.
Santa Matilde, Nicaragua
In 2007, IHBC began a partnership with Fountain of Life Church in Santa Matilde. IHBC has built houses for widows, fed children, sponsored medical and dental clinics and recently purchased land to build a future church for the community.
