The Houston Run for Recovery, in celebration of National Recovery Month, will be held on ,
September 23, 2012. This event will once again show Texas and the country what having fun
in recovery is all about.
The 5K run walk is for everyone from runners and walkers who want to set a new official
5K time for themselves, to those who just want to run/walk this fun 5K course or to the recovering person who
wants to support and celebrate Recovery!
Kids 1K Fun Run – Bring the kids out to run or walk this noncompetitive 1K fun run.. Every kid receives a finisher’s medal!
New this year is the 5K Team Challenge! Teams consist of four members and the times for all four runners will be totaled to determine finishing order. Awards will be presented to the top all MALE, all FEMALE, and COED (two females and two males) teams.
Be sure and have a team name ready when you register and please note that one person will register all the team members at once. Information needed for the team members are names, addresses, birthdates, t-shirt sizes, and email addresses. .
The noncompetitive Kids 1K starts at 8:00 a.m., followed by the 5K Run/Walk and the Team Challenge at 8:30 a.m.
Competitive events will be timed and results posted
