The Bucket of Blood Races is an annual event that takes place in conjunction with the Holbrook, AZ Old West Days a 2 Day event filled with fun, food, and entertainment. http://www.azjournal.com/owd/ This years race is benefitting The American Red Cross.
For those that want to take place in both days events you can stop by the Bucket of Blood Races booth Friday night between 6-9PM to pick up your race packet. Race line up and registration will take place behind the Old Courthouse at 6:00AM for a race start time of 7:00AM. The race is a cross between street and trails. You will begin at the Historic Old Courthouse run through the downtown Holbrook area up in to the back hills for some nice desert trail runs. Cross over I-40 as you reach the upper section of town. Cross through some rancher country and finally finish off down the legendary Route 66 passing iconic symbols such as the wigwams and more.
