Brief Description

There is no excuse for child abuse.

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time set aside to recognize our collective responsibility to prevent and confront child abuse and neglect. The blue ribbon represents the blue coloring of a child's bruise. The Blue Ribbon 5K Race and Family Fun Walk is a fund raiser and community awareness event to support the child abuse education, prevention and treatment services provided by Family Nurturing Center.

Team Captains

Team Captains: Please click the yellow "Create your Team" button and create your team. Once your team has been created please return to this page and click on the green "Register Now" button and register as part of your team.

Team Members

Please click on the green "Register Now" button to register. On the registration form, select your Team name from the drop down list of teams and continue with your registration. If you do NOT see your teams name in the drop down list please contact your team captain.

Individuals

Please click on the green "Register Now" button to register. DO NOT select a team name from the drop down list within the registration form.

Route

Route begins and ends at General Cable, 4 Tesseneer Drive, Highland Heights, KY and winding through NKU’s campus.

Online Close Date

Online registration will close on April 16th @ 4 pm Eastern Time.

Additional Information

  • Intermediate level course, handicap accessible.
  • Awards will be given for top three runners and walkers for both men and women.
  • Kids Fun Run (all ages) immediately following race in parking lot, ribbons for all.
  • Teams must pre-register, award for top sponsorship.
  • Entertainment, refreshments and informational displays.
  • Pre-registered participant packets available at Family Nurturing Center April 20-22
