About Habitat
for Humanity:

Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit, tax-exempt, ecumenical Christian organization dedicated to working with people in need to improve the conditions in which they live. Its major purpose is to build homes for people who live in sub-standard housing and cannot afford to improve their living standards by conventional mean. We are a volunteer driven organization. In the thirty one years that Habitat For Humanity International has been in existence they have built over 212,000 houses which provide needed shelter for over 1,000,000 people through volunteer labor and donation. There are over 2500 affiliates in 100 different countries. The Hemet/San Jacinto Affiliate was formed in October of 1993 and affiliated in 1996. Thirteen houses have been providing simple decent shelter for 76 people. The proceeds from this race will go to provide material for another house. Your support is greatly appreciated!
