Brief Description

Victim Witness Assistance Program’s 2nd Annual Go the Distance for Crime Victims 5k Run/Walk Run to Shatter the Silence, Walk to Stop the Violence This is a great event for getting some exercise, meeting fellow supporters of victims' rights, and supporting our community. Last year we had over 300 people attend the Run/Walk in Dauphin County for the Victim Witness Assistance Program, so come on out and become part of the tradition.

Additional Information

This event is being held RAIN OR SHINE. No refunds will be provided and all race fees are non-transferable. Schedule of events: Packet pick up at the Carousel Pavilion on City Island 6:45 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. PLEASE NOTE CHANGE FROM LAST YEAR! Runners will start at 8:00 a.m. and WILL be timed. Walkers will start at 8:15 a.m. and WILL NOT be timed. Awards will be given for the overall male and female runners as well as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards for all age categories. Award ceremony will start at 9:00 a.m. Raffles & Door Prizes to start directly after the award ceremony. YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN All participants MUST register and will receive a Dri-Fit t-shirt and goodie bag on the day of the event. Online registrations are guaranteed a t-shirt. Those who register the day of the event are NOT guaranteed a t-shirt. All participants should be at City Island at least 30 minutes before the start time. There will be 50/50 raffles and 5 free chances to win additional prizes. Light refreshments will be provided after the event. Registration fees are tax deductible.
