Brief Description

The 5K and the bike ride will share the course for the beginning and end. Therefore, for safety reasons, we will have a staggered start. In order for all to finish at reasonable times, we have changed the start times: - 50 mile bike ride will start at 8:00 AM; - 18 mile bike ride will start at 9:30 AM; - 5k Run / Walk will start at 9:35 AM. All proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society breast cancer awareness programs and services in Northeast Missouri.

Additional Information

There will be an opportunity to pick up your race bag and register if you had not yet done so on Fri., Oct. 14, 4:00-7:00 PM at the James E. Cary Cancer Center. We will have the same on Sat. morning as well. This event is an option of a 5K run or walk, or an 18 or 50 mile bike ride. Both events start at Hannibal Regional Hospital campus. The 5K winds around the campus as well as across Hwy. 36 towards the Hannibal Airport. The bike ride also winds through the hospital campus, as well as along country roads with beautiful scenery. The bike route is a combination of flat with some rolling hills. Roads will be closed for the 5K run / walk. Due to the need to re-open roads, we will close the course at 11:00 AM. Therefore, any participants who are not yet finished will be picked up. Helmets are required for all cyclists. The bike course is not a closed course, however, there will be numerous signs warning motorists of cyclists on the road. All cyclists must be completed by 12:00 PM. Any cyclists who are not yet finished will be picked up by the roaming SAG wagon. Two SAG stops will be provided along the 50 mile route. This is a leisure ride, so it will not be a timed event.
