Brief Description

Our 5th Annual Turkey Trot is growing every year. It's a fast,fun family event in a NC coastal town between Jacksonville & Wilmington. The 8K (9am)is an out & back route from the park, thru neighborhoods & returns to the park. The 2 mi (9am)timed run/walk is a double lap route remaining entirely on the park grounds. The 1/2 mile kids' sprint is a great chance for the youngsters aged 9 & under to experience the thrill of competition on the paved path.

Directions

To get to the park, take Route 17 in Hampstead to Sloop Point Loop Road (just south of Sloop Point Fire Dept.) The park is on the right ~1/2 mile southeast on Sloop Point Loop Rd.

Additional Information

Expect better, new prizes for all races & more entertainment throughout the event. The race proceeds go into the Hampstead Kiwanis Park fitness trail and all who use it. Thank you Sponsors! Registration and pre-race check-in will be held at the Hampstead Community Bldg during the pre-race pasta dinner on Nov 16th from 5-7 pm and on race day from 7:00-8:30 am. Register by Nov 2 to guarantee a t-shirt!! We sold out every year!! AND NOTE: Performance shirts for 8K runners this year.
