Brief Description

Our 3rd Annual Turkey Trot is growing every year. It's a fast,fun family event in a NC coastal town between Jacksonville & Wilmington. The 8K travels from the park, thru neighborhood streets & returns to the park. The 2 mi fun run is for those starting to run or walk. It uses the trail & some of the fields, but remains entirely on the park grounds. The kids' sprint is a great chance for the youngsters aged 9 & under to experience the thrill of competition around the current jogging path.

Directions

To get to the park, take Route 17 in Hampstead to Sloop Point Loop Road (just south of Sloop Point Fire Dept.) The park is on the right ~1/2 mile southeast on Sloop Point Loop Rd.

Additional Information

The race benefits the Hampstead Kiwanis Park and all who use it. Registration will be held in person at TrySports in Wilmington Nov 18th from 5-7pm, at the Hampstead Community Bldg during the pre-race pasta dinner on Nov 19th from 5-7 pm and on race day from 7:00-8:30 am. Be sure to register by Nov 5 to guarantee a t-shirt!! We sold out the last 2 years!!
