On Saturday, September 25, hikers and trail runners of all ages will experience scenic Golden Gate Canyon State Park. The 10 K trail run route is 90% single track. Multiple hiking trails are rated vigorous, moderate or gentle, ranging from 1-6 miles. The trail run will be done by 9:30 am and runners are encouraged to cool down on a hike and participate in the after-hike party, beginning at noon. There will be food, music, kids' activities and prizes. Hikers and runners are encouraged to raise a minimum of $100 in pledges and prizes will be awarded to the individuals that raise the most money --cool stuff like outdoor gear from Columbia, Mountainsmith, Five-10, Train Runner, Rock and Ice, Go Lite, Udi's, John Fielder, Osprey and more! After registration, hikers will receive registration confirmation, directions to Golden Gate Canyon State Park and information about pledge-raising for their favorite benefiting agency... or all three!
