The desert setting will continue to inspire participants as the half marathon starts at the Estrella Mountain Community College in Avondale, home of Phoenix International Raceway. Avondale is a larger city which still boasts a small town feel. The course progresses on to Litchfield Park, where runners will appreciate this historic town. Runners will wind their way by one of the Wigwam Resorts three golf courses and Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa. Runners will be in the city limits of Phoenix as they run by the White Sox and Dodgers spring training facitlity. They will continue thier focus on the University of Phoenix Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals, Super Bowl XLII, and the NHL Phoenix Coyotes as they approach the final mile. The finish line will be a perfect photo finish with the Bellagio style water feature guiding the runners to the finish line at Westgate City Center. Whether YOU select the marathon, half marathon or relay this inaugural event will be a memorable sight seeing experience. Each of the valley cities represents the allure, mystique and unique features of the Southwest desert. Come experience the scenic Arizona desert this President's day weekend.
Awards will be given for First, Second & Third place in the following categories; Marathon starting at ages 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, etc. to over age 65. 1/2 Marathon will be under age 14 and continuing in 5 year age groups age 15-19, 20-24, etc. to over age 65. Relay Marathon to the designated categories.
The Second Annual Arizona Marathon is FEBRUARY 14th - You don’t want to miss it!
No strollers, pets, skating or bikes on course.

Marathon: $65 until Dec 31; then $75
Half: $60 until Dec 31; then $70
Relay: $130 until Dec 31; then $140
5K: $25 until Dec 31; then $25
