Additional Information
This is a unique progressive race series, which means each race is progressivly longer. The first race is run on a 3 K closed cross country course. the second race (held three weeks later) will be ran on a closed 5 K course. the finale will be held on December 8th, running a distance of 8 K. The overall winner will be the runner with the lowest total number of points from the 3 races.
Each runner will score the number of points that his finishing position indicates in each race per age group (eg if a runner finishes 1st he will score 1 point, whilst a runner finishing 10th will score 10 points)
Each runner can discard points from one race so that only the best 2 scores from the 3 races are counted to the total score. Ties will be broken by the runner with the best overall time.
If a runner does not take part in the race then he will score a default a 100 points or the number of points equal to total number of runners plus 1 point, whichever is larger.
Awards will be given to runners who complete the series. Awards will be given to the top three overall and the top three per age group. Overall awards will be based upon lowest total time for ALL THREE RACES.
