FESTIVAL 542 is a celebration of human powered fun. Cyclo- cross races, running events and cycling rides. The main event, RIDE 542- Mt. Baker Hill Climb, is a 24.5 mile timed cycling challenge for riders of all abilities from Glacier, WA to Artist Point on a closed road. $6,000 cash and merchandise prize purse. The Mt. Baker Highway (or SR542) is one of the most scenic paved roads in the world, climbing over 4,300 feet in 24.5 miles and is closed to motorized vehicles on this morning.
