Brief Description

FUN 5K & 10K timed fun runs; races start and end at Lampe Park in Gardnerville. 10K starts at north end of park at the Senior Center on Meadow Lane at 8:00 a.m. 5K starts at south end of park on Waterloo Lane at 8:20 AM. Final miles of each race kick off the Carson Valley Days parade! Proceeds benefit youth programs in Douglas County. Join us for a great cause! This is the 5th annual event! Enjoy Lampe Park and the applause of hundreds of parade spectators cheering you on down the finish, YOU are the kickoff to the 102nd Annual Carson Valley Days parade! Be sure to arrive at your parking location EARLY. Highway 395 closes at 8:00 AM, so don't get stranded trying to find your parking place.
