Online registration closed! Register day of event!

$20.00 day of event, t-shirts available on first come first serve basis.

Children 12 and under are free without a t-shirt! With a t-shirt, children 12 & under are $12.00

Shirts have been ordered! Small, medium and extra-large shirts are sold out! Sizes available on a first come first serve bases. Those who register first will ensure themselves a t-shirt!

Important!

This event will happen RAIN OR SHINE. If weather permits, we will begin the race at Pony Field as planned. In the event of rain, we will be beginning the race at the UF Commuter Lot, under the cover of the parking garage.

Brief Description

UF Doctors Without Borders Student Organization is hosting their 2nd annual Dash for Doctors 5K run and walk! All proceeds from this event will be donated to the international Doctors Without Borders Organization, relies solely on donations to provide healthcare to those in countries who desperately need it. Hopefully, this event will help provide women, men and children in low income countries with the help they need.

Additional Info

The 5K follows a scenic route through the UF campus and around Lake Alice! Following the race, there will be food, raffles, music, and prizes for top runners! We hope to see you there!

Timing

We will have a red LED display clock for runners to view their times as they run through the finish line. Additionally, we will have a monitor displaying times that runners can view at any time after the race.

International Organization

Doctors Without Boarders provides independent, impartial assistance in more than 60 countries to people whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe, primarily due to armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, exclusion from health care, or natural disasters. The organization provides independent, impartial assistance to those most in need.

The race will begin at 8:00 am on Sunday, March 24, 2013; Registration will begin at 7:00 am.

Address

The race will begin at Pony Field on the University of Florida campus.

The field is located on west side of Gale Lemerand Drive near Archer Road.

Parking is available at the commuter lot on Gale Lemerand, directly north of Pony Field.

Please feel free to bring your children and dogs to the event!

Dogs must be kept on leashes at all times, and owner is responsible for picking up after them.
