2ND ANNUAL RUN FOR THE AMERICAN RED CROSS 5K ROAD RACE
Come and join us for the 2nd Annual American Red Cross 5K Run/Walk Road Race and help your North Central Florida Chapter help the community by supporting its disaster, armed forces and health and safety services. Race will take place Saturday, December 12 along the banks of Lake Alice and throughout the University of Florida's campus. The 5K (3.1 miles) race is open to runners and walkers of all ages.
Race Director Mark Gajda said "We are excited to kick off the 2nd Annual American Red Cross 5K Road Race on December 12; not only is this race a great way to bring the community together but the money generated stays locally to help those who need shelter after a fire or hurricane."
The top male and female finishers will receive trophies and all race participants will receive a t-shirt.
The American Red Cross, North Central Florida Chapter supports the communities within 8 Florida counties: Alachua, Columbia, Dixie, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Lafayette, Levy and Suwannee Counties.
