Brief Description

Why run a course in the city when you can run two of the fastest Rocky Mountain courses in beautiful Summit County! The Half Marathon is 75% downhill and the Ten Mile Creek 10K is 100% downhill. Both start across from Copper Mountain and finish on Main Street Frisco!!! Run the Rockies is one of the oldest running events in Colorado!!!

Schedule of Events

6:45 am Day of event registration/packet pick-up begins at Frisco Recreation Building, 3rd and Main
7:00-8:05 am Bus Transportation to the Start at Ten Mile Creek Bike Path, Hwy 91 and I-70 (across from Copper Mountain Resort). There is a STARBUCKS is located at the START-NO TRANSPORTATION AT CONCLUSION OF RACE BACK TO THE START
8:30 am Start of 10K & Half Marathon
PLEASE NOTE, the course closes at 11:45 am and timing will cease.

Awards

Age Group Awards:
Top 3 male/female in the 10K & Half Marathon as follows: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
1st place winners receive a pair of Salomon shoe's. An awards table will be available for age group winners to receive their awards immediately after the results are posted.

Late Registration/Packet Pickup

Late registration and packet pickup will be available Saturday, 6:45-8 am at the Frisco Recreation Building, 3rd & Main. A late registration fee of $5/person will be added at this time.

ONLINE & MAIL IN PACKET PICK-UP

If you register by mail or online, ALL registration will be available for pick-up day of event, Saturday, 6:45-8 am at the Frisco Recreation Building, 3rd & Main

Bus Transportation

Buses will leave promptly from the Frisco Recreation Building beginning at 7 am to take you to the start. The last bus leaves at 8:05 am. There is NO transportation from the finish back to the start at the conclusion of the race.

Entry Fee Includes

Registration fees ($25/10K, $35/Half Marathon) include entry into the event, great refreshments, a specially designed T-shirt, bus transportation to the start. A late fee of $5/person will be added the day of the event. T-shirt size and availability not guaranteed for day of event registration.

SOS Outreach works with at-risk and underprivileged youth from resort communities and urban areas. We serve youth 8 to 18 years of age who are identified by their schools or youth agencies as appropriate candidates for the program. If you choose to wear listening devices, you must remove them as you approach the finish line in order to hear instructions from event officials. This is for your safety and the safety of others-we appreciate your cooperation so we can continue to allow the use of these devices-thanks.
