Online Service Fees

The Frederick Running Festival will once again cover a large part of the surcharge that active.com charges for using their services. However, we are requiring that all runners pay $3 of this fee. We will, in turn, make a donation to Special Olympics of Maryland equal to the amount collected (approximately $12,000.) SOMD coordinates many of the volunteers at the race and do great work for disadvantaged athletes in the state. Thank you in advance for your support.

Early Bird Discounts

You can save money be registering early. Fees for all races increase on January 1, 2011 and again on March 1, 2011. Register early and save up to $20!

Refunds & Transfers

No refunds of any kind will be granted once you register for an event. We do not send no shows their shirts in the mail. Further, you are not permitted to transfer your registration to any other person without written consent from a race official. However, we will grant runners with a valid medical reason to defer their entry for one year. There is a $25 fee to do so. Please call 410.605.9381 for details.

Relay Team Captains

You MUST create and pay for your team before you or any of your teammates can register. To create your team click on the Team Caption Option on the Registation Page. Once your team is created and paid for, you MUST register yourself as a team member using the Team Member Option on the registration Page. You will need to provide your teammates with the password so they can sign up as a team member.

2-Person Team Relay

Before March 1: $90/team
On or After March 1: $100/team

You MUST have exactly 2 Team Members to Run the Relay

Entry Fee Includes 1) Performance Gear shirt, 2) on course support, snacks, & beverages, 3) post race food & drinks, including free beer, 4) finishers medal

Half-Marathon

Before Dec 31: $55
Jan. 1 - Feb. 28: $65
After Feb. 28: $75
Entry Fee Includes 1) Performance Gear shirt, 2) on course support, snacks, & beverages, 3) post race food & drinks, including free beer, 4) finishers medal 5) Access to a custom post race website with printable finishers certificate.

5K Race

On or After March 1: $30
Entry Fee Includes 1) T-Shirt, 3) on course support, snacks, & beverages, 4) post race food & drinks, including free beer

Kid's Fun Run

Any Time: $10
Entry Fee Includes 1) youth size t-shirt, 2) post race food & 3) finishers medal

Maryland Double

Runners who complete the half-marathon at the Frederick Running Festival and the full or half marathon at theBaltimore Running Festival in the same calendar year are given a special third medal to add to your collection. In addition, you will receive a $10 discount off the combined entry fee. (This discount is built into the posted prices on active.com. You must register online prior to the race in Frederick to receive discount.)
