Brief Description

CSD (also known as Communication Service for the Deaf, Inc.) is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to providing broad–based services, ensuring public accessibility and increasing public awareness of issues affecting deaf and hard of hearing individuals. Through global leadership and a continuum of quality communication services and human service programs, CSD provides the tools conducive to a positive and fully integrated life.

Additional Information

CSD's mission is to provide greater opportunities for access, independence and awareness for all individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. HAND WAVING is a sign used by deaf people who use signed language to communicate; this picture “speaks louder” than words. CSD’s goal for this 5K Run/Walk is to raise money for advocacy programs that benefit individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing individuals, as well as create mentorship opportunities for social work and ASL to English interpreting students during their college intern experience.
