The Run for Shelter is the Bar Association of Frederick County's 3rd Annual 5K Run/2 Mile Walk to Benefit the Religious Coalition for Emergency Human Needs. The Religious Coalition is the largest provider of emergency financial assistance outside of local government. The Religious Coalition runs the only year-round shelter for the homeless in Frederick and operates 8 affiliated food banks as well as many other programs to help those in need in Frederick County, MD.
Awards will be given to the top three male and female 5K finishers. Plus, first place awards will be givin in these age groups: 18 and under, 19 – 29, 30 – 39, 40 – 49, 50 and over.
All children completing either course will receive a medal.
There will be drawings for other prizes following the run.
T-shirts will only be guaranteed to the first 250 to register.
$20 per Adult early registration until Sept. 9th, then $30; $15 for Students aged 7 to 18; Children 6 and under are free. Families / groups of 4 or more get a $20 discount. All groups should contact the BAFC to register by emailing info@frederickbar.org.
