This race is to benefit The Salato Wildlife Education Center through the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Foundation. The 4 mile course is on the primitive hiking trails of The Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Headquarters in Frankfort.
Take exit 53-B from I-64 in Frankfort. Go 1.7 miles and turn left on US Hwy 60 West. Go another 1.5 miles and turn right onto the grounds of the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources Headquarters. There are several buildings on the property. Follow the road straight back, no turns, for 0.5 miles. Salato and parking will be on your left.

Everyone is encouraged to participate in this event. Runners and hikers can compete and enjoy the best of what KY has to offer. If you have kids, bring them to the race. A Youth Fun Run will follow the start of the main race. The animal exhibits will be open and supervised fishing and other activities will be provided while the race is in progress.
