Brief Description

The Chickamauga Battlefield Marathon, in its 34th year, is run through the Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park in Northwest Georgia. The park honors one of the Civil War's most important battles.

In 2010, readers of Runner's World selected the marathon as the "most family-friendly" marathon, the runner up for "most scenic" and third for best overall marathon.

This year we will be honoring the American Civil War sesquicentennial.

This is a Boston Marathon qualifying race. The mostly paved course is challenging but not extraordinarily difficult. Numerous runners have qualified for the Boston Marathon on this course. Results will be provided to the Boston Athletic Association after official results are posted.

This race also offers a Wheelchair Division. We are excited to offer for the third year, the Children's Hospital Miracle Team, to benefit Children's Hospital at Erlanger. Visit www.RunForMiracles.org for full details
