Brief Description

The 12th Annual Riverwalk Run takes runners on a beautiful course along the New River and through the historic neighborhood of Rio Vista in downtown Ft. Lauderdale. Choose to participate in the 5 mile run, 5K run/fitness walk, or enter the kids in the Kids' Fun Run! We invite you to stay afterwards for brunch and the awards ceremony. Help us Run for the Future and make a difference in the lives of Broward County!

Kids' Fun Run

Register your child for the Kids' Fun Run! The path is lined by adults. All kids receive a finishers medal!

Pre-Race Party presented by Bimini Boatyard

Need one last hoorah before race day? The Riverwalk Run Pre-Race Party will be held at Bimini Boatyard Bar & Grill on Thursday, March 15th, 6:00 - 9:00 pm. We hope you will join us for an evening of fun benefiting the many community initiatives that the Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale supports.

Additional Pre-Race Party Info

Your entry ticket includes beer and wine, vodka and rum drinks, appetizers, and live entertainment. There will also be amazing silent auction items! $30 pre-registration or $35 at the door!

Awards & Age Divisions

The top 3 finishers in each category will walk away with a beautiful print of the Riverwalk by local artist Audrey Spitzmiller as it appears on the race t-shirt! Overall M/F, Masters M/F, Grand Masters M/F, Wheelchair M/F, Age divisions: 10 and under, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-25 and each five-year interval thereafter through 80.

Additional Information

This event benefits the Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale's current and legacy projects. Our newest projects include: FLITE Center to benefit adolescents aging out of the foster care system, Childhood Fitness and Nutrition (Kids in the Kitchen and Healthfully Ever After), Ronald McDonald House and numerous done-in-a-day projects benefiting other nonprofits in Broward County.

Founded in 1937, the JLGFL has created several of Broward County's top charitable organizations, including Kids in Distress, Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale, Henderson Mental Health Center, Museum of Discovery & Science, Jack & Jill Children's Center and more!
