Brief Description

This run a scholarship fundraiser in memory of the Ombudsman at Colorado State University, Gil Guiterrez, who was killed by a drunk driver while running in August of 1993. The run started the next May; this is the 19th year. Over 50 scholarships have been awarded to Colorado State University students from race proceeds. Additional Information

The morning of the race is usually cool with temperatures averaging 50-55. The course is flat and circles around campus. After the event is over, plan to spend time at the Cinco de Mayo festivities which will be held all day in Old Town Fort Collins.
