Event Beneficiaries

The TEAM TSA National Awareness Walk is a 5K walk to raise funds and awareness for Tourette Syndrome. Funds benefit the national Tourette Syndrome Association as well as chapters in the Tri-State area. TSA is a national non-profit dedicated to discovering a cause and finding a cure for Tourette Syndrome while providing educational programs and services for people living with TS and their families.

Registration Fees

Registration is $25 for adults, $20 for children 17 and under and $20 for seniors. Preregistration is recommended. Registration will be available the same day at an increased price of $35 for adults and $25 for kids and seniors. Each person receives a TEAM TSA T-Shirt and a medal. Other items and discounts at various places in the park will also be available to team members.

Entertainment

There will be a stage with live entertainment! Former American Idol Contestant David Pittman, will sing and share his story dealing with TS. VH1 Morning Buzz Producer & Comedian Chelsea White will do stand-up. The Rough Dozen, a Capella group will be preforming. Other performers will soon be announced.

Fun Activites for Families

This park was once the site of the World's Fair and has Unisphere and other unique relics. There is the Queens Museum of Art, New York Hall of Science, Queens Wildlife Center, an ice skating rink, boat rental, playground facilities and so much more. After the walk you can spend the entire day enjoying the park!

The Holiday Inn, 37-10 114th St., Flushing, New York, which is walkable to the park, across from the Mets Stadium and a block away from the number 7 subway train that will take you into Manhattan has agreed to offer our participants a special rate of $169 for those people who may be traveling for the event. Transportation/ Getting There

Specific instructions will be provided to team members closer to the time of the race. The park is easily accessible by car by the LIE, Van Wyck and Grand Central and there is plenty of free parking available.
BY SUBWAY: the #7 stop at 111th Street. Walk south on 111th Street to the Park entrance at 49th Avenue.
